Minichamps model of an extraordinary F1 car - Stewards 1971 title winning Tyrrell.

Ken Tyrrell and Steward came into F1 with a bang! Armed with Matras excellent chassis, they won the championship in 1969. But when Matra insisted on using their V12 engine, Tyrrell parted company and hunted for a new chassis.

They used the new March chassis in 1970 but Steward found it disagreeable, so Tyrrell along with Dereck Gardner designed a fresh F1 on the kitchen table and built the car in secret in a barn! It was immediately competitive and won its debut race - extraordinary for a brand new team!

Tyrrell went onto win 6 more races and the championship- an extraordinary achievement.

In mint condition and supplied in the original box.
