Vintage, Collectible Egyptian Themed Tin
The origin and function of this very attractive little tin is uncertain and we can but only speculate. If we had to venture a guess it would be that this tin might have contained a body lotion of sorts, or could even have been sweets or chocolate. Only one other example that is similar but no identical can be found online. We can't find any more information other than what is printed on the base:
The lid is beautifully decorated with hieroglyphs in gold and an Egyptian figure. The lid is in a pristine condition. The base of the tin does show some wear consistent with age and use.
A tin that is not only beautiful but is clearly rare and comes with a mystery waiting to be solved.
