Info: Beautifully crafted Dresden-Art porcelain figure skater with lovely detail on the face and decoration. Triple pointed Crown Mark with the letters W R and Dresden Art on the base stamp indicates that it is from W R Mark Wilhem Rittirsh Factory.
The Wilhelm Rittirsch factory was first established in post-war Bavaria, Germany in a town called Kups in 1950 and survived for 24 years, going out of business in 1974.
This company, like many others not from Dresden used the term "Dresden-Art" as a marketing term, to try to take advantage of the demand for Dresden style products after WW2.
Condition: Very Good condition, an old piece, no chips or breaks, tiny hairline glazing separation that is hardly noticeable, but no breaks at all on this lovely vintage piece.
