Vintage Faber-Castell Slide Rule System RIETZ Model No. 57/87 in plastic case with box. (No instructions) made in 1969.
The Faber-Castell slide rules were some of the most elegant and well designed slide rules ever produced.
This is the 57/87 Geroplast Slide Rule, Scale length 10",for students. 2/series for full size 10 inch/25cm adjustable.
The box says : A.W. FABER-CASTELL . STEIN BEI NÜRNBERG, GERMANY.
The slide rule: Made in Switzerland.
Featured with a'addiators' on the reverse side, to allow addition and subtraction as well as conventional slide rule operations. This combination rule, is quite unique and provides exceptional computing power in an all mechanical design.

This 10" Mannheim rule from Faber-Castell features their unique trademark "mint-green" accent stripes on the slide and body to align the A+B and C+D scales. The CI scale marks are in red. This rule has 5 hairlines on the cursor, an inch ruler along one side, S, T, ST scales and secondary cursors on the reverse, and a table of equivalence settings for conversions on the back.

It is in an excellent collectible (near mint) and fully usable condition, in it's plastic case and box which has one end missing. There are however no instructions, so I have copied this info into the listing for the new owner should you need extra info.
