VINTAGE ZENITH TEMPEST PRISMATIC COATED 12x50 JAPANESE BINOCULARS NO 90814 IN ORIGINAL BEIGE LEATHER CASE
A POST WAR MID TWENTIETH CENTURY ZENITH TEMPEST PRISMATIC COATED 12x50 JAPANESE MADE BINOCULARS IN GOOD WORKING CONDITION. COMES IN ORIGINAL BEIGE LEATHER CASE.
This 12x50 binoculars magnifies 12 times larger than normal unaided vision and has a 50mm diameter of the objective (front or larger) lenses. So the "zoom difference" would be an increase of 20% in the magnification from a 10x42 to a 12x50. These binoculars are great for bird watching, nature observation, and sporting events.
This high quality binoculars was made ca. 1970's in Japan. Zenith means the point in the sky directly above you and also means the time when something is most powerful. Zenith brand binoculars was hence named to indicate it is the strongest and most powerful binoculars.
With the Zenith prismatic coating which reduce the light reflected from lenses, thereby increasing the light transmitted through the lens, you get brighter images than with binoculars with uncoated lenses.
